Christian County resident Steve Perry, will provide us information on County Planning and Zoning and the coordination (or lack) of P & Z with the cities within CC. Steve Perry and Phil Booker have been attending the County P & Z meetings for months. 

Pat Briggs, with the Missouri University Extension City will share with us. 

📚 New Christian County Library Director Begins

We welcome the new director of the Christian County Library, Will Blydenburgh, who officially started July 28. We look forward to seeing how his leadership will serve our community.

🚧 Holder Road Update

The Christian County Commissioners confirmed that Holder Road will not be closed. 

🏥 Christian County Health Department Report

Mike Miller updated us on the Christian County Health Department Board:

• The department has a $3 million annual budget.

• A list of Board of Directors’ names, phone numbers, and emails is posted in the office.

• It’s vital for citizens to ask:

  • What is the ROI (Return on Investment) of this budget?

  • How does their spending align with CCHD mission and community services?

  • How many clients do they serve?

  • How many nurses are on staff?

  • What impact does this department truly have on our community?

⚠️ Important Note:

• A $300,000 contract was recently lost, affecting revenue.

• The new director has been in place for 9 months.

• The Health Department operates independently and is not under the oversight of the County Commissioners.

• The former administrator is suing the board and has refused to turn over the department’s website. Christian county citizens are still unable to access the CCHD website for information. -
